Android Question Camera image bytes

Hi to all. Is there a way to access the bytes of the camera to apply image processing techniques? My idea is to process the video frames. Thanks in advance.

No. I'm using Androids own face detection functions. But you can see on the image the frame rate is very low (Sony Xperia Z3).
