Android Question Camera: objects recognition and comparison

Question just for the actual technology level.
Can we now try to recognize and compare the similar objects by some SDK ?

Say, search goods (by the camera) that is in our database. The item identification without QR-code, but just by video analysing. Comparing photos\video frames with some saved video-hash to recognize the item in the database.

Any practical way ?
Or technology now does not allow yet fastly and with 99% probability to recognize the similar objects by camera and algorithms ?
