Hi guys

I'm writing a camera application and want to manually focus...
so i set the focus mode to manual...

but now how do i actually set the focus value?

There is no normal mode. Do you mean fixed?

You cannot set the focus distance programmatically. You can see the supported modes here: http://developer.android.com/intl/e...rdware/Camera.Parameters.html#FOCUS_MODE_AUTO

thanks erel. as I thought. the unit I'm working with support camera2 api...

I will rework the manual focusing using an arduino and micro servo to move a focusing optic with an on screen focus adjuster. just in case the solution was of interest to others.
