iOS Question Can I connect to cloudmqtt and have my app always in foreground?

Does anywone know if jMQTT and Notificationlistener can be used on Iphone 8?
I am about to customize my android app that I use to connect to cloudMQTT and I have my app always in foreground.
I use "jMQTT 1.0" and "NotificationListener 1.2".
My app must always be active and process data from my broker.
Do anyone know if this is possible to accomplish in iPhone 8 with iOS 14.2 ?

Assuming that your app is going to the app store then you can't keep it running in the foreground.
You need to use push notifications instead.

Thank you for fast replay. No I am not going to use app store.
Perhaps it's better to use push in Iphone nevertheless?

Push notifications will work much better.

You are however limited to showing a notification. Your app doesn't run when a notification is received.

Ok so I will use notificationbuilder in my app then. Is it possible to lock my app in foreground so it always will be active as android?

You will need to use the background location option: iOS Location Tracking in Background
