I have been searching for an application that would allow me to dial a phone number, log into a “BBS” type service with userid and password. Then enter some selection criteria for the specific data I need. The service then prints to the screen a report of the data. I am currently using “HyperTerminal” on my Windows PC for data capture of this text. I capture about 120kb to a text file on a daily basis and then process that and other data in a system that I developed in Visual Basic and SQL.
My search has come up empty handed so far. From the brief look at Basic4Android, it appears that it may be possible to develop what I need. I’m a newbie to the Smartphone telephony so I have a lot of technical jargon to learn.
Is there an app out in the market that will do what I need? Does Basic4Android provide the tools and functions to accomplish this task? Any examples that come close to what I need?
