Android Question Change icon style in statusbar

Hello
I saw some apps that when it get notification and seen in statusbar,icon changed color or bgcolor(i forget where is changing)
Example when statusbar is red,icon changed to this color or change opacity icon
What is it?

On newer versions of Android, non-transparent pixels are colored white.

Set transparent background of icon?
Which version of android?
Have speical size or folder?

Set targetSdkVersion to 22+ (or maybe 23+) and it will happen automatically.
