Change network settings?

Hi

Is it possible to change network setting from within an app. I need to change my network DNS settings from with in a app, i change them alot on my 3g network so looking to create an app that i can change them to predefined dns addresses at the click of a button.

Ive searched but can only seem to find threads on getting network information not being able to change it.

Any help would be great

Thanks exactly what i needed

EDIT: Am guessing theres no way to do this with 3g networks? Preferably with out having the need to be rooted. I've seen similar apps on google play but require root.
