Hi, I have a new laptop and installed the latest update with license etc as a backup. I copied my Additional Libraries folder from my PC to the laptop and when I browse to configure the path and select it, I get a path error message??? Has anything changed in the new version?
I seem to have admin rights etc? Weird.

Hi Klaus, nothing at all? I tried it on the C: root to start with (win 7) which gave the same error, so cut and pasted it to the downloads directory?

I am definitely logged in as Administrator and it doesn't matter where I put the Additional Libraries folder I get the message 'An error occurred. Invalid path.'
Currently pointing to C:\Users\Default\Downloads\B4A\Additional Libraries

Doesn't matter where I place the Additional Libraries folder though???? I've moved it to various places.

I would suggest you do a fresh install of B4A, and don't install the Android SDK on protected directories like Program Files.

There's really no need to have admin rights to run/install B4A.

Hi NJDude, I have done as you suggested and uninstalled/reinstalled B4A and have the same problem? I have attempted again to install in another directory, but that isn't working either????

It must be machine specific as I can change the existing path on my PC no problem and both have B4A 3.82, so the problem is mine.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll struggle on.

Hi Erel, I am now in the process of starting from scratch again with the sdk etc although I have java 7 on here and the installation instructions specify Java 6? I can't see how that should affect selecting a path though? Will update in a bit.

Thanks,

Update!!! Although I had already installed B4A and it asked me for the license and seemed happy with it. After re-installing Java SDK, I opened B$A and it asked me for the license again? I supplied the license file and now it works no problem???

I can only imagine a glitch of some sort, but been frustrating, although glad I have my backup now.

Thanks for the input guys, very much appreciated when someone is trying to help.

After my wife decided in her wisdom to swap laptops again, jeez, I have discovered that this was caused by a bad java jdk download. Once I got a new copy and installed, I could modify the path's no problem!
