deaths in one day: 44
total deaths: 126,046

1 - up to 2 months ago the dead were 500+ per day
2 - out of 60 million people, 126,046 deaths = 1 death for every 476 people. Deaths from vaccines? 1 death for every 1 million people, perhaps.

[30 million Italians have received at least one dose of vaccine to date]

There is no such data (there, where I found them) but it is of little importance; my father died at 95 (not from Covid) and I would have liked him to live at least another 50.

Furthermore, if not all the side effects of vaccines are known, especially the future ones on RNA, it is known that even if you are young and strong and get hit by Covid-19, at least you carry the consequences for months (difficulty breathing, fatigue, etc.)

Finally, would you rather have a 1 in 476 chance of dying or a 1 in 1 million chance?

I know it used to be very serious in Italy but I think situation has now become more optimistic.

Meanwhile in my country, while the vaccination program is less efficiently implemented, the cases recorded highest record on these few days.

28/05: new positive cases = 8290 (death=61)
29/05: new positive cases = 9020 (death=98) ->highest
30/05: new positive cases = 6999 (death=79)

Vaccinated 2-doses: 1.0 million
Vaccinated 1-dose: 1.8 million
Malaysian total population: 33.3 million
Death due to COVID-19: 2729
Death due to vaccination: none so far as I know

The percentage of deaths compared to the number of infected here in Italy was quite high. Perhaps because in Europe Italy was the first to be hit, but I think there were also other factors (mainly disorganization).

The CDC has quietly revised its infection fatality rates estimates on 03/19/2021:
New estimates for survival rates by age:
0-17 99.998%
18-49 99.95%
50-64 99.4%
65+ 91%

is there a long-term study of having the virus? do you know how many side effects people have after infecting with the virus? I am not talking about >3.5m deaths I am talking about the people that recovered from the virus but lost sense of taste, sense of smell, weakness, headache, and much much more.

there are so many people that don't take the vaccine. until today only about 420m people get the vaccine. from about 8 billion people in the world.
a lot of people at risk did not take the vaccine besides that a lot healthy people that were not in a risk die from this virus. so its not only people older than 65 and people with illness it can hurt everyone. i also think that the number of death is not the only factor.

no, the real question here is not ONLY how many people die there are other factors that are maybe worse than that. because this virus is spreading very fast you have no way to fight it except by making lockdowns that effects our daily life a lot. and i am not talking only about the economy i am talking about mental life. you cannot meet with friends, children learn in zoom, there are no human meetings, people start feeling alone and get depressed. it takes a lot of time to recover from such a pandemic.

there is no 100% like any other medical drugs or medical operation you take in hospital so should we now close all hospitals and all medicine classes?
the question here is what is better without a vaccine or with the vaccine. as an Israeli citizen, I can tell you that only about 2 months ago we had about 10k new cases/day lockdown after lockdown. But today we are talking about <10/day. all lockdowns helped to get the new cases a little bit down but had a big impact on the economy. the only thing that helped us to get back to normal life is the vaccine. today everything is open here. restaurants, malls, cinemas, shops,... you cannot fight with the facts.

Because everyone, including children, is at risk from long Covid if they catch the virus and as said above, it reduces the chances of it mutating to a worse form.

There is much less risk, but no vaccine is perfect, though these these Covid ones are extremely good. The more people that are vaccinated the fewer there are to harbour the virus and so reduce the risk to those for whom the vaccine is not effective and those who are unable to have the vaccine.

The vaccines DO work as promised, actually rather better in the field than expected. Just look at UK and Israel hospitalisation rates complared to infection levels. Even if you catch the virus affter vaccination your chances of hospitalisation and death are hugely reduced.

Nope. EVERYONE is at risk in one form or another. There are 'different' levels of risk, but still. The vaccine protects you from getting into this worst case scenario: that is a need to have to go to the hospital where they can not cope with the numbers. You still can get sick, but the chance you die from it are reduced significantly if you are vaccinated.

dont just look only at the numbers. Again it is not just about statistics. India is helpless they dont know how to handle the situation. The population there is exploding and people say that the numbers are much much higher.

the hospitals are crashing from the pressure what means that even people with other illness cannot get treatment.

this is the worst scenario where u as a doctor need to decide who will receive treatment and who not. I remember that in italy this was also the case but not here in israel. So its not only about the average number of death people per million citizens.
