According to this table, fewer people died in the year with the pandemic than before the pandemic.

i will explain your idea in a different way.
in israel every year about 400 people die in a car accident. so let's say that in 2020 not 400 people died but 2000 people died so 5x more. now the minister that is in charge of this comes to the Parlament and starts warning about that issue. now someone comes and says in Israel every year 60k people die so 2000 is not to bad. but the minister says we can avoid that by building better roads and give better education to kids and tougher rules about drinking and driving etc. but again the argument that it is a small % of the whole death rate.
so the idea is this, don't look at the total amount (btw your stats, in my opinion, are wrong) but look at the amount of the death for the same reason.
i remember that big professors in Israel went to the news and told that it is a harmless flue and every year 1000s of people die from the flue so i went checking in the government site and also in the HMO site and guess what, these are the stats:
2017 = 41
2018 = 134
2019 = 54
On average about 60 people die from the flu in Israel.
in 2020 about 5000 people die from the flu "covid19"
so if this is the same as any flu why are those numbers so high? i agree that in total it is a small % of the total death rate in a country but are we all now only numbers?
if we can help someone don't we should to try do so?
The history books will show that, because it is the vaccination that is creating the variants."
this is like saying don't create better locks because this will create better robbers
i think the discussion here is really worthless. i will recommend everyone take the vaccine. i took it in February. i hope we all will get someday back to normal and remember this part of our life as a piece of history and not as our present.
have a nice day all of you guys
