Hi,

You, like me, I suppose, love this language. It make possible to make easily powerfull apps in quick time.

But we really need the same hybrid IDE and language for iOs, and even more, for windows mobile (windows 8 mobile).

Mainly, because we do not make really native apps, source code speaking, I mean using Eclipse and Java, (or Android Studio, powered by google).

So using B4a, for making applications for both platforms is a survival question.

I know this question has been posted many times.

So, Erel, are you able to do it ? Do you need help to do it? do you need money to do it?

or, is it just not possible?

I know, your business is pretty good, but OUR business really depends of your answer.

Regards

This is not correct.
Basic4android applications are 100% native Android applications. Basic4android generates Java code and then compiles it with the standard Java compiler / Android tools. If you like you can take the Java code and compile it with Eclipse. The result will be exactly the same.

Windows Phone at its current state is not worth any development effort:

Erel, you are right, B4A makes native Java code.

But think twice, B4A is a language, anyway, and you translate B4A code to Java code, so why not translating it to Objective C...
All the IDE are other aspects, designers...

But is it feasable?

phonegap..... looks interesting but not native apps for iOS or others - browser. Wonder how well it mixes with various hardwares?

Course, when you look at the numbers above, makes one wonder where the iSheep are going... over to our side I expect or is RIM taking them with the big 3.0

powerfull apps in quick time.

Basic4Android is what it is.

Personally, I wish to concentrate on Android, and should Android's popularity diminish, only then look elsewhere, as is what happened to PocketPC.

In my experience, iOS users do not adapt well to apps that were designed to be used on Android and then ported to iOS, so why be responsible for releasing yet another zombie-app?

I would suggest that it is therefore better for everyone to keep them separate. I.e. choose one market, stick to it and serve it well.

Can't disagree more with this topic. I've looked at all 3 and chose Android. Why?

iOS - great, but they constrain you a great deal and you _have_ to use a novel aspect of the phone software or hardware for it to be considered... WTF? If the Users want it, then it will do well. I may well submit an App to iOS, as so many people have asked for iOS conversions.

WM - not a chance. Visual Studio 2012 only. Again, why stop those with VS 2010 from developing for it. It's a great oversight on MSes part.

B4A - works _really_ well and Developers can get working code on to a device in minutes, if not within 1 hour. This cannot be underestimated.
