DDMS problem?

I'm trying to push some files into the "emulator storage" using the procedure decribed in page 96 (section 6.4) of the beginners' guide.

When running ddms I get the Dalvik Denug Monitor but no device. The message is:
Failed to initialize Thread: Unable to establish loopback connection.

Any thoughts?

Try to restart ADB service (IDE -> Tools - Restart ADB server).

nope. This happens even if i just start the emulator from the IDE, "fresh from the box" so to speak.

1) start B4A
2) tools--> run avd manager
3) starting the emulator
4).... waiting till emulator is ready
5) cmd: ddms
6) error!!!

restart ABD server didn't help.

Can you connect to the emulator from the IDE? You can package the files in the APK and then copy them to the storage card.
