Designer and the Emulator

I've started a project and used the Designer to layout my screen and place the various views like I wanted them. My project compiles OK and starts in the emulator. The title bar displays fine but none of the views are displaying at all. I tried changing the background color in the Activity view but it doesn't change in the Designer display nor in the emulator when it runs. I tried looking at the wiki on the Layout topic but couldn't find anything there. What am I doing wrong? Thanx. :sign0085::sign0085:

Unfortunately you don't give enough information on what you have done.
- Do you load the layout file in Activity_Create ?
- Do you initialize the views ?
Could you post your project as a zip file (IDE menu Files / Export As Zip) ?

Thank you so much! I didn't realize I had to explicitly load the layout file. That was the problem. Appreciate your being so quick to respond.
