When dragging or resizing a view in the Designer, the Designer should immediately show the view's location & size as it is being dragged or resized. Example: If I drag or resize a panel in the designer, it should display "(10,10,50,70)" which tells me the view is at position (10,10) and it's width, height is 50x70. Another format would be "(10,10) 50x70" which might be easier for people to understand.
This location text should appear in the Designer's status bar as well as overlaid on the screen next to the control as it is being moved or resized. As soon as the user releases the left mouse button the floating overlay that is next to the view will disappear. The location information in the status bar can remain as long as the view is selected. See image.
This would allow users to position the view to the exact spot or size without letting go of the mouse to see these values in the Properties pane.
