Display a real device screen on a PC monitor

I would like to demonstrate the features of an app to a few people at a time. Is there a way to display the screen of a real Android device (not the emulator) connected to a PC on the PC monitor. I know there are programs that take snapshots or screeshots like DDMS.BAT, but I would like to see the full application in a continuous action.

That depends on the device some have HDMI output (some HTC phones has that capability), so, just plug the device to a HDMI capable TV and you're done.

From what I've read (and don't take this as expert advice) but for most devices it's not possible. Like NJ said, if you have an output, you're good, but for most devices, a link would take too much redrawing and can't handle the streaming.

There seems to be video capture apps like Screen Video Recorder (for rooted devices), but I can't find any live streaming, either.

I hope someone thinks of something, so I'm eager to get some advice, too.
