My OSMDroid offline map app will be on the play store with limited zoom levels to keep it small in size.
I want to have option in the app to add additional zoom levels by download and somehow merge them into the existing zip file.
Is this possible/feasible given that the addition of each level effectively doubles the zip file size and with level 16 already at 120mb, the addition of more levels would be far more efficient if we didn't have to take what is already there.
I imagine an sqlite map may be better, but I am using a 3rd party tile source that isn't included in mobac so have no idea how to build this. I can't seem to find any documentation on the Sqlite map format.
