B4R Question esp8266 radiation

Does anyone know, if esp8266 radiates in server mode, or only waits for radiation? I ask because of battery life time in a rediscovering tool...

What do you mean with "radiates"?

I think he means broadcast (ready to accept connections).
I guess in server mode at least the ssid is being broadcast (emited) so that it can be found by others who want to connect to the network.
