Android Question Forum how to quote another post

Hi, Sorry about putting it here but I can't find a forum (or instructions) about using the forum.

I can't get the Quote feature to work - when I select Quote from the "..." dropdown it inserts "" into the text - I can insert the text in between the tags but it does not say were it come from with a clickable link. Tried various ways an can't get it to work.

Can someone help (I must be missing a simple step)?

You have different possibilities:
1. Select the text and click on Reply

The result is this:

Add the text in between the two QUOTE texts.

I click on the Reply button of the post I want to quote from, and then cut and paste the relevant bits into the reply I'm composing.

If you right-click on the date/time of a post and choose "Copy link address" then the clipboard will contain the url of the post eg:

Thanks for the input - I was simply using the wrong icon in the tool bar
