full screen and/or title for activity?

I'm messing around with the activity settings for full screen and title, and getting a bit confused.

The Designer offers these properties for the activity, but they didn't work at run-time until I used the code editor's menu functions (Project > Activity Properties). I'm confused about how these two ways of setting those properties work and interact.

What I'm ideally trying to do is show the usual Android bar and title bar in portrait mode (when there's room for it in my app), and hide them in landscape mode (where there's not enough room for them in my layouts). Is this possible? Even better, is it possible without weird code voodoo? :sign0188:

Only the properties under Project menu have an effect on the title bar and full screen.
The designer properties are only useful for designing.

Is this possible?

You cannot change these settings at runtime. They are either visible or not.

Title Bar

Hello, you can use a panel, lay it out as you like. You can display or hide it from code. This is how I use mine. Set your project full screen and then set your panel.
