is there a better way of doing this to only use a portion of an array of bytes

dim bigbuffer(10000) as byte

dim smallbuffer(100) as byte

for i = 0 to 99
    smallbuffer(i) = bigbuffer(i)
next

Note that a similar method is available with Bit.ArrayCopy. It is also cross platform.
