Thanks to this vibrant community, my lite versions are ready to go on the market.. at least from my P perspective, so knowing my weakness there, I use the J list below:
1 Get Screenshots of Your App (checked)
2 Create a Documentation File (checked, not required)
3 Create a Splash Screen (checked)
4 Create a Sign Key (checked)
5 Add an icon (whoooooops)
6 Create a distributable APK file
7 Pricing your app
8 AdMob
9 Sign up with distributors
So I'm at a stop on number 5, as I have tested my programs out on multiple emulators and devices... and as far as I can tell, the only Icon I have to worry about it the Launcher Icon. But, every time I've tried my programs out, I've used the B4A compiler with a 512x512 copy of the icon (for use by Google as required in their documentation) linked in the menu, and it looks great on every device.
So my question is... do I need to do the 4 separate folders with a launcher icon for each density display? Or has this become redundant? (I'm new here, and only started including the icons in version 1.9)
If I just go with the default B4A way of "choose icon", am I going to experience horrible feedback? (all my devices are Samsung, so maybe they work ok with the APK as delivered, but others may not play so nice... thus requiring the 4 different scales)
I have scoured the boards here, and searched the web, but no clear answer... so hoping yet again to gain knowledge, without having to be bloodied in the process!
TIA!
Ross
