B4J Question Google Maps key - is it paid or not?

To use this example it is necessary to register on the Google site and activate an api key intended to display the map
Searching on the Google site there are dozens and dozens of possibilities for different uses of the Google Maps api
I can't find the exact point to understand if the key to use in this example, is paid or not, or is limited to a certain number of 'calls'
The question is: the use of the Google maps key as in the example above is:
- free
- for a fee
- do you only pay for calls exceeding a certain number of calls / month?

The use of GoogleMaps (in Android) Api is free. Showing map, adding Markers. NOT in a Webview as you need to use another Api here. But using the googlemaps library in android.

This does not include any other google services like GeoCoding, routeplaning and so on. They are paid above a limit of free calls.
