I'm trying to detect a gsm cell location change while my phone is sleeping.
I've tested services based on time & can bring the phone(HTC One M8, Android 4.4.3) out of sleep no problem when time is up but I want to bring the cell out of sleep when a gsm cell location changes not based on time.
I can set up a service to detect the gsm cell location changes & it works but only while the phone is not sleeping. As part of the function "StartServiceAt" there is a parameter "DuringSleep As Boolean" that allows the service to run while sleeping, this parameter does no exist for function "StartService". How can I get this service to run while sleeping?
Has anybody done anything like this? Any help or suggestions would be grateful.
