Java Question GUI performance

Hi,
When adding hundreds of components at the same time
i've experienced some performance issues.
Is there any way to disable screen redraw.
And after to force a redraw (for this invalidate should fit my needs).
It could be fine something for java too ...

This is exactly the way it works. The views will only get drawn once your code finishes running.
