Android Question Help! Simple Library Compiler

I am trying to compile a library and it throws this error:

Starting step: Compiling Java code.
javac 1.8.0_231
C:\TSC LIB\src\com\example\tscdll\MainActivity.java:4: error: cannot find symbol
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
^
symbol: class AppCompatActivity
location: package android.support.v7.app
Note: Some input files use or override a deprecated API.
Note: Recompile with -Xlint:deprecation for details.
1 error

MainActivity:
package com.example.tscdll;

import android.os.Bundle;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;

import anywheresoftware.b4a.BA;
import anywheresoftware.b4a.BA.*;

@ShortName("TSC")

public class MainActivity
  extends AppCompatActivity
{
  protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
  }
}

Several mistakes:
1. Don't wrap activities.
2. Don't use the old and deprecated android.support SDK. You should use androidx.

Thank you very much I will try again to implement your advice, excuse my ignorance I am still learning this powerful tool.
