Highlight Text and Save and Retrieve Highlighted Text

I want a user to be able to highlight text. Then when that user starts the app again and views that particular page, I want that text to still be highlighted. How do I go about knowing what they highlighted, save it, and retrieve and display that highlighted text within the page? I want the user to be able to highlight one or more words.
