HomeScreenWidget Confusion

Does anyone have a in depth tutorial on HomeScreenWidgets? Im Trying to make one but i need to be able to make buttons and edit them along with labels and define them as variables but no luck getting it to work yet.:sign0085:

I have done so several times there not ("InDepth") Thank you for your reply though it nice to have a active support base.
