Android Question Hotspot client details (client scan)

Hello,

I want to write an android phone/tablet (and later ios) app to connect to my wifi hotspot and then scan who is connected to that hotspot - ip address, device id string ex samsung, sony etc and any other available info.
(Do i even need to connect before i do a scan?)

Similar to ez net scan, ip finder lite.

How do i go about this - wha libray will i need?

There is no simple way to get this information. Enterprise level routers support the SNMP protocol. I don't think that there is any standard way to do it with home routers.

If the other devices run your app then you can use UDP to discover them (https://www.b4x.com/search?query=UDP+discover).
