Hello all,

I am using NewQRCodeReaderView to scan QRCode. What i am trying to achieve is to put a scan constrain box instead of
full screen like image attached : *I wanted the Blue Area to be the scan area... and Pink Area Non scan-able area (Will put a semi transparent black mask on top). Have anyone have a good idea to achieve this?

XFood,

Thank you for your suggestion.. but i found that NewQRCodeReaderView is super sensative on detecting QRCodes. It works all the time. For you to have a clearer picture of what i am trying to achieve, I have screen capture a QRReader from other application :

As you can see... the application will scan any QRCodes that falls INSIDE the "Clear" box (Box with red line)... and the rest of the space are surrounded with SEMI TRANSPARENT IMAGE from camera. This is just what i am trying to achieve.

I tried to mask a semi transparent Image on top of NewQRCodeReaderView which will look the same as image attached... but the problem is the MASKED areas will Scan QRcode as well when it 'sees' one...

Thanks

Just a warning on NewQRCodeReaderView, the underlying github project QRCodeReaderView is "No Longer Actively Maintained" and 4 years since last update.
Even if it works now, there may be future compatibility issues.
