I have a triple backup solution for all my work.
- USB (Using Allway Sync whenever I work)
- Linux server in my loft - WiFi (Using Allway Sync working 24/7)
- Backup and Sync from Google (To Google Drive 24/7)
As I always say to my clients.
We can afford to buy and replace laptops and computers, that does not really matter in the work environment. What really matters is the information on our laptops and computers that cost the money, the hardware is just a means to an end.
I have two laptops for developing on, one 18 months old and the other about 12 months old. I do most of my work on my main laptop. Whenever I travel around I take my other/second laptop. Whenever I start the second laptop up, it synchronises from Google so I can just continue working. When I get back home I turn my main laptop back on and that synchronised from Google the work I did on my second laptop, then the Linus server in my loft receives the latest files too. I plug the USB drive in whenever I feel like it and that backs up from my main laptop too.
There you have it, I point blank refuse to lose any work lol
