You should use the IME library and handle the HeightChanged event.

hey @Erel sorry for the stupid question but i am unable to hide

menu item when searchview is clicked i want to detect the keyboard state and hide menu item if possible.Anf for the ime keyboard lib its always returning false of my keyboard state

The image is broken. The IME library doesn't return the keyboard state. You need to handle the HeightChanged event.

Actually i want to hide the three dots appaering in toolbar when searchview is focused .
