Android Question IDE extremely slow

Hello,

I've migrated my development environment to VmWare and I'm working on a 4K display.
The B4A IDE is extremely slow in this case.
Is there anything that can be done to improve it?

Hard to say. Can you try it with a lower resolution VM? Have you enabled hardware acceleration?

Yes, tried several things.
Hardware accelaration is enabled, tried several resolutions, no go.
I use an external 4K monitor linked to my laptop.
If I run it on the laptop screen self I have the same issue which has a standard resolution.
So it must be linked to Vmware apparently.

Will try to search some more.

Strange is that I don't have it in my other IDE's (Embarcadero Delphi and Visual Studio).
I found some posts on the forum to change the ini-file.
I will try that.

Did you check the amount of memory allocated to your VM ? Usually on install it only allocates 1gb.

This is idle on my machine and almost doubles on compile

which could cause a lot of page swapping etc and slow things down dramatically

This is a shot in the dark.

Thx but my laptop has 16 gb ram and 8 is dedicated to the vm.
