I would like this for selfish reasons:
1) I'm not good at Objective-C
2) Most new code samples from Apple on the new features introduced into iOS seem to be Swift only
3) It's a pain to find Objective-C alternatives to the Swift only code Apple provides
4) Even
@Erel says that learning Objective-C may be a waste of time (see
https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/merging-objc-code.119664/post-748462)
5) I'm usually doing the few "low-level" tweaks in #IF JAVA (B4A/B4J) and (a bit) in #IF OBJC (B4i) and don't really rely on libraries (nor am I good at creating them)
There seems to be some overhead involved in supporting Swift (
https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/swift-libraries.75691/), but with Apple's seemingly 100% push of Swift, I think this would be a great additional feature for B4i.
P.S.: please someone move this to the B4i bug/wish forum
