iOS Question Install apps without store?

I know this has probably been said many many times in the past.

Is it possible to install an app on a device outside the store? with some kind of signed CA or something? Just curious.

I am not sure if my app will get approved or not as it is very specific on what it does. But i was wondering if there was an alternative.
