B4J Question Intel Edison

Hi All

Has anybody played with the Intel Edison Board. I have seen post's relating to the Raspberry PI GPIO lib and was wondering if there is similar for the Edison.

We are looking at developing a device that will access WiFi, GPS and a GSM core.

All comments, advice welcomed.

Based on this tutorial: http://www.helios.de/heliosapp/edison/index.html it supports Java. So it should support B4J programs (non-UI).

I'm not sure about the hardware specific features.

Thanks for the reply Erel. I am sure when we look into this deeper there are Java Libs (open source) for handling Hardware, it may be a case of developing a wrapper lib.

It's a kit Erel, you will a have a hard time putting it together.. soldering the components.. especially the smt.

We are building a new device based on this Board, and if we can develop libs to hook into the hardware, it gonna be awesome !
