How to get a test platform?

Option 1: Testing with your own WhatsApp Number

1. Get yourself a whatsapp number (preferably not for personal use)
2. Provide this number to us to create a test account for you. You will need to link this number with your device. An OTP will be provided to do this.
3. Once linked, you will need to create a contact name on your device with the same number. We will create a user token for you to use the test platform.
4. We will provide you with 2 URLs to use, one for the server app and one for the client app. The server app is just a bridge between your whatsapp messages on your test whatsapp number and your database. In the client app, you are able to send messages, video, text, documents e.g. pdf, emojis and also reply to messages received and sent.
5. You can create different user profiles on your test account to be able to use the same whatsapp number from different users and track the communication & its history.
6. For tests, OnePlace is deployed on PocketHost and has been developed using PocketBase.
7. The App uses the GreenAPI and thus will be governed by terms and conditions of using the GreenAPI for that functionality.
8. When using this option, the conversations you make will be private to your whatsapp number and visible to you only.

Option 2: Testing with our own WhatsApp Number

1. Open the OnePlace Server WebApp
2. Login using the following email and password.

3. Leave the OnePlace Server WebApp Open.
4. Send a message via whatsapp to +27786365102. This will be displayed on the OnePlace Server screen.

5. Open the OnePlace Client
6. Use the same login details in Item 2 above. You should see the following screen.
7. Select the chat you want to send messages to on the left, OnePlace will load conversations, you can type and then send messages to the chat.

8. When using this option, all conversations are public and visible to anyone using Option 2. Anyone will be able to send / receive messages to anyone who is using Option 2.

Terms & Conditions

1. By sending or receiving messages via OnePlace, you agree that the messages will be stored in a database and can be retrieved.
2. By using the whatsapp number you provide, your contact details, avatar, name will be extracted from WhatsApp and stored in the OnePlace database during these tests.
3. You can request your contact details, conversations etc to be deleted.
4. That you will not share personal information via the platform and you will use the platform for testing purposes.
5. The test platform runs on PocketHost and is for demonstration purposes ONLY. This does not reflect the actual speed of the applications.
6. That we will not be held accountable for any data loss suffered when using this test platform.
7. The GreenAPI Licence applies during the use of this test platform.
8. That you will not use any abusive language / bully other OnePlace users during your tests (should you choose Option 2)
9. That you will be respective to other test users of OnePlace (Option 2)
