Meanwhile this technology is also mentioned in Star Trek. Specifically in Star Trek deep space 9. They are the famous replicators that can reproduce local planet foods for all the species in the station. If I were in the reality of Star Trek I would say that the replicators do not use cultivated cells technology but energy materialization exactly as the beaming technology. That would justify the brief time of the food preparation. In other words: "Skotty, beam a stake into my dish..." ??????

As for "Can Vegans eat it?" I'd say no because the ingredients are still animal - the demonstrator even says the cells are alive at the start of the print
Actually, the question should be "Would vegans eat it?". Vegans can eat whatever they choose - they just choose not to eat meat.

The LOL was for the mis-steak...
Some vegans do it for health issues, some others do it because they respect the right of the cow and the lamp to live. I believe the second category might re-evaluate their decision.
The second category vegans, are more than correct if we imagine this. An alien invasion occurs and suddenly humanity is turned for the extraterrestrials, to what the cow and lamp is for humanity now. The question is: Would I want to be slaughtered for my meat?
As long as these machines are still in Israel I have no problem, because I know the initial meat and fat, or the cells, are kosher from properly slayed animals.. but the fear comes if they were exported to other countries. (Forum rules prevent me from naming them)
