Hi everybody,

What are the main differences between version 1 and 2.

I know that with version 2 you can use "wait for", but is that all??

What are the advantages of using version 2?

Best regards

The advantages of V2 is, that V1 is outdated since years!!!!!
I know ... but what does outdated means?? . . . it works just fine, so (and I am NOT trying to be obtuse or argumentative) ... is there any real advantage to use V2?? .. programmatically, any new feature, new function, better stability?

I have been using V1 since forever, and when version 2 came out, I thought to change to it, but for one or another reason, I just haven't made the change.

And yesterday I stumbled on the post of version 2, and asked myself what would be the gain in changing version, and re-read the post of V2 and didn't find anything about the changes from V1.

Best regards!

The first version of RDC was written in Java, before B4J was available.
The second version - jRDC 1, was written in B4J based and behaved exactly the same.
The third version - jRDC 2, takes advantage of B4XSerializator and the ability to send custom types, and also other features added to B4X.

No doubt that you should use jRDC 2.
