Android Question Measure Area and Perimeter

Hi,
I want to ask questions. I have a leaf picture which is color.
1-I want to convert leaf picture color like this . How can i do with basic4android?
2- After leaf color converting black-white ,How can i measure leaf's area and perimeter with basic4android

Area = num white pixels
Perimeter = edge detect . sum of pixels

I think there is a lib to read pixels and another one to apply sobel filter.
