Other Missing android.jar file

Hi,

I downloaded the trial version of basic4android, java sdk and the android sdk from the links in the downloads page. After installation I found the android.jar missing.

How do I get this file, searching for the file using Windows Search I could not locate it.

I was able to compile my first Hello World program on the IDE. But the connection to my samsung smartphone is not steady, the connection keeps disconnecting, after several trials I was able to run the application.

Is there any way to make the connection steady..also after several trials (running and stopping the program from the IDE) I was able to get the program running.

It seems something is preventing the program from being run.

Please help.

Thanks
a

You need to install at least one "platform" in Android SDK Manager:

Erel,

I am having the same issue as arbj. I am not seeing nearly as many options for download available as are visable in your screenshot. For whatever reason, when I look at the available packages list, I see only the 'Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 19' in the list, no other platform-tools. I tried to install that with the 'Android SDK Tools, revision 8' but the latter is all that populates my Installed packages list... any ideas what I should try to do? I followed the instructions available here.

Should I perhaps download an earlier version of the SDK manager?
