Android Question Multiple Widgets with Receiver

Hi,

I created a widget app, which supports multiple widgets some years ago (as in this tutorial by corwin42).
Now I try to update it to use a Receiver instead of a Service.
Most of the problems I could fix, but when I create a new widget the WidgetConfig Activity isn't called. I didn't change anything with this mechanism (only updated the new xml file widgetreceiver_info.xml like the old widgetservice_info.xml ans set it r/o again).

Is there anything else to do to get the Config Activity working again?

The "config activity" doesn't look related to the service or the receiver. It shouldn't be affected by this.
