the problem then would be how accurately the pins would be positioned inside the box, and the fact that they are lower than the box boundaries, which would most likely make the nozzle hit the box itself knocking it out of place!

dont you set the part position when you make a program?
i am a cnc programmer and when i create a part i need to put the position x/y/z
so if you can do that too there should not be a problem.

you use the same parameters as the first program and start from position of the case ground and not from 0

I guess then you would be the perfect person to take that single G-Code listing and take it into 2 parts

It is not that easy.
For this I should also split the CAD file and that becomes too complex.

Where is the g-code?

I dont know how 3d printers work but i guess its like cnc.

In my opinion the reason for the broken pins is the plastic doesnot have enough time to dry.

The movements are small on the pins so the plastic is still to hot and whn you put another layer on it its breaking the pins.

You can also try cool it with a ventilator try dougles ventilator app :p

what software are you using to create the G-Code?
is it freeware?

what solids type does it accept? (x_t, stp,...)

I use for construction CATIA-V5 and convert the CAD file to STL format.
For G-code, I use Cura from Ultimaker.

I have the part already printed with PLA filament and the pins are much more stable, now I thought with PETG it should be better, but is not the case.

Why dont you try simplify? you can set up any layer, try to make it slow on the layers containing the pins.
I think slic3r also does it.

Hi,

I sold my Anet-6. :(

But I have now bought an Anycubic. :)
It cost € 100 more than the Anet-6, but it is much better, no comparison!

The construction takes 15 minutes the first pressure, without many settings, is already perfect.

It looks almost perfect!!!!
This is the project i'm involved in... a CNC
It handles the Dremel.
Now i'm setting up the electronic part, i've bought a RAMPS kit on Amazon and i'm trying to make it work properly (setting the motor steps, etc)

Your idea sounds good. :)
Do you want to use it for milling or just engraving?

Both, i want to mill wood and aluminium with the appropiate tool and engrave with a laser (also on glass with the Dremel tool i used to engrave glass "by hand")

Is not it too heavy for aluminum milling, have you already tested?

Yes, i've tested manually (handling the machine with my hands, with no electronic plugged), and if the speed is not too high, it works perfectly, take count that dremel can mill aluminium by itself.
If you want to see it working, search for MPCNC on youtube... it's amazing

Well, just ordered my 2nd 3d printer. A Tronxy x1.

My Tevo has been good but really i have discovered over the last 6 months I only print in PLA and only small parts. It is like my Tevo is overkill.

In the end, 3d printing is a DRUG!!!! o_O:eek::p:(
