Just bought Basic4android 2 days ago and I started working on installing Basic4android using the online guide in this forum. Installed all of it's additional components (Java SDK 7 & SDK with API Level 8 & Level 19)...
At first, the program locked up once this error message showed up during compile ("Optimized dexer failed. Switching to Standard dexer.")... Found out that java.exe doesn't like running with Mircosoft EMET wrapped around it. Not surprised.
Once I took this off, I was able to compile MyFirstProgram and execute the program in the emulator, but I'm still getting the error: 'Optimized dexer failed. Switching to Standard dexer.' when compiling with API Level 8. When I switch to API Level 19, the compile works...
If I compile with API Level 19, does that mean that my projects are only compatible with 4.4.2 or does that mean other compatibility problems in the future? Program seems to work OK for Android 2.2...
