Android Question Need ideas/inspiration

I want to modernise the look of my app. I feel it looks dated and is boring. But it does work.
Has anyone got any ideas or links to libraries to change the look or way my app works.
Your are presented with a list of manufacturers which you can open to see a list of vehicle models. Simple, basic and works.

How to jazz it up?
Or should I just leave it alone?

Maybe change the font from a hand written looking font to a standard font, and maybe use higher resolution graphics.
