The longest journeys start with a single step!I fear it will not be useful; in fact, it could even be counterproductive if there were not thousands of members
Introducing new features alone will not improve b4x awareness. One could discuss what strategies could be used to increase the spread of B4X.
Some could be:
- adding inheritance
- creating B4W (for WEB)
- lying about the number of employees of Anywhere Software, making it appear that they are 1,751
The reasoning behind the FB Group is that, every pro dev is also member of other programing languages groups, and with it, the B4X group will be suggested to that other group's members. It's the snow ball effect. But for that to happen, existing b4x members need to "play the game" and join.
Yesterday, before creating the b4x group, I had joined a BASIC lovers group, and posted there about b4x. By itself, my posting created an all day long discussion on that group, and even though I posted in the forum trying to get b4x members to pitch in, only aeric did!
Nevertheless, at least they were "aware" now that b4x exists, and that is the main goal!
