Android Question Notify users on new version on Google Play

Is there a way that users who have downloaded my app from Google Play store can be notified that a new version is available?

But normaly users get a notification from the playstore app without the need for the developer to add anything.

Yes, playstore will reach most of the users. I guess only very few can avoid this...
