No, you can run codes in background by service modules.

Are the two apps that you want to open your own apps developed with B4A?

John - no they are not B4A apps. I want to open Spotify and Waze but have my B4A app maintain focus.

If they were B4A apps then there are methods that can be used to accomplish what your need but since they are non B4A apps I can't help you. I would suggest that you do a "google" search to ask the question. Maybe someone in the Spotify community or other developer forums in addition to the B4A forums can help. Sorry.
