I'm not sure, but you are probably looking for "Activity.Finish"

no wait, you wrote resignfocus I thought regainfocus.

not sure if it was in B4A or B4J but in some cases you need to work with a hidden label and set focus on that to clear the focus of the other items.

Are you calling it to hide the keyboard? You can hide it with the IME library.
