Android Question Pause, Resume, home

Ih, I have two questions:
1) I have not yet understood what the use of these two routines is:

Sub Activity_Pause (UserClosed As Boolean)
Sub Activity_Resume

2) when the user press right button on device or the "home" button, I have to do something, but where and how?
