Android Question Play store as update server

Is it possible to use Play Store (website) as server justo check new version (get VersionCode only) of my app?
So if new version available then Play Store app will be opened from my app.

You can publish a app on googleplay. But you dont have a webspace there where you do what you want. You need a webhosting
